SWIM SCHOOL

The H.E.S. Swim School is Canarsie’s largest provider of year-round swimming lessons for students of all ages and skill levels. Classes are held in our heated indoor pool.

Our experienced American Red Cross certified instructors are dedicated to teaching all students to be safe and proficient in the water. All students are arranged by age and skill level and placed into small groups to maximize individual, one-on-one attention.

Group Classes

Ages: 6 Months to Adults

Parent & Me, Pre School, and Children and Adult Levels 1-6 classes. For more information about levels and to determine what is the appropriate class for your child, click here.

Swim School classes take place during four seasons throughout the year. Fall, Winter and Summer are 10 week seasons. Spring is a mini 5 week season.

Fall Season starts October, 2024.

Member: 10 Classes for $200
Non-Member: 10 Classes for $250

Private Swim Lessons

A more personalized setting could just be what you or your child needs to get comfortable in the water or achieve swimming goals.

$300 for 5 Lesson Package
$60 per Session

PRIVATE AND SMALL GROUP LESSONS

The H.E.S. Swim School offers one to one and small group instruction for all ages and levels. Learn swim basics or refine your technique with one of our certified instructors. Drowning prevention and water safety are essential elements of our private lessons curriculum, with elements of water safety knowledge and skills integrated into every level. The H.E.S. Swim School‘s professional Water Safety Instructors are highly motivated to work with you on your specific needs at any level in your journey to become a proficient swimmer.

SWIM ‘N’ SKILLS

Swim ‘N’ Skills is an OPWDD swimming program with ABA support. Each child will receive individualized swim instruction and 1:1 support from a counselor as well as a swim instructor. An ABA Specialist in collaboration with a Disability Services Supervisor will lead all counselors and swim instructors to best provide clinical support to participants.
