PARENT SUPPORT GROUPS

The H.E.S. actively provides support for parents and community members via Parent Support Groups. We meet every Thursday at 6:30 pm, via Zoom.

Sessions are professionally led by our Social and Disability Services Administrators. Topics help parents make informed decisions, advocate for their kids, and build meaningful connections. We currently run four different groups:

Parents of Early Childhood Children: 1st Thursday

  • Share experiences, gain insights, and navigate the beginnings of your child’s schooling journey together with guidance, laughter and friendship.

Bereavement Support: 2nd Thursday

  • Discover a space to share, heal, and find strength with professionals and peers.

Parents with Children with Disabilities: 3rd Thursday

  • Connect with a community prioritizing unique abilities and find understanding for the diverse needs of families with special needs.

Parents with Adolescent Children: 4th Thursday

  • Meet other parents and gain practical advice on staying connected with your teen and navigating the teen years.

All families are welcome to join and no reservation is required to join by Zoom.
